EDUSERVE AND EDUTECH JOIN FORCES AS EDUSERVE INTERNATIONAL
NEW LENOX, ILL. – EduServe, the management and information technology consultants for higher education, today announced the acquisition of Edutech International, the IT consulting firm founded in 1985 by Linda Fleit. The new company will be called EduServe International.
Fleit will serve on the board of EduServe International, along with EduServe founders and principals John Slack and Dr. Barbara Vrana.
Fleit is leaving for a sabbatical assignment in Namibia, where she will lead a project to provide computers and Internet access to public schools there.
Also joining the board is Dr. Tom Warger, editor of the EduTech Report, a trade publication with more than 5,000 subscribers in the field of higher education management.
“EduTech’s depth of IT knowledge is a great complement to EduServe’s broad spectrum of services,” says Dr. Vrana, CEO of EduServe International. “We are all very excited about the growth potential and the new opportunities for reaching the higher education market worldwide.”
EduServe International is headquartered in the Chicago area, specializing in management, information technology, and network security for institutions of higher education. Consultants offer services that range from strategic planning to IT implementation, and operate from regional offices in the U.S. and Canada.
